The Queensland operation is located throughout the state from North West Queensland right down to Brisbane in the South East of the state. ARG East provides bulk transport solutions to the mining and agricultural industries within Queensland running 120 trains per week on average and up to 205 per week in the 5 month sugar season.
To meet the needs of our customers ARG operates from three distinct regions.
North West
The North West region includes the areas of Mount Isa, Phosphate Hill, Cloncurry, Burdekin and Townsville. The key products transported from this region are Mineral Concentrates, Fertilisers, Cement and Sugar.
Central
Grain, Limestone and Sugar are transported through the Central region which includes the areas of Emerald, Moura, Mount McLaren, Springsure and Gladstone.
South West
The South West region consists of the Goondiwindi area and Darling Downs region, grain is the primary product transported through here.
ARG operates train services within the North West region (Townsville to Mount Isa rail corridor) in its own right. Train services in other regions of the state are operated for ARG by QR Regional Freight under service contracts. There are two administration offices in Queensland located in both Townsville and Brisbane CBD.
